Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion – Part-Time Human Resources Manager

The Offer:

BACI is seeking an HR Manager who is innovative, hard-working, and solution-focused to join our Human Resources department - a small, supportive and dynamic team.

Regular Part-Time HR Manager:  22.5 hours per week.  Salary Range - $40,000-$42,500 based on 22.5 hours per week.  This position is hybrid blend of working remotely and on-site.

Key Responsibilities Include:

    Participation in recruitment, selection and hiring of employees in all departments 

    Assist in the retention of employees on Work Permits -assists in completing documents for employees with and seeking  employer supported work permits.

    To assess and track the training needs of the employees of the Association.

    To organize training sessions for employees in all departments and to assist with in-house training sessions for staff and supported individuals

    Information System management

    Support the Senior Manager in assessing the impact of human resources practices on employee job satisfaction, turnover and service quality through various ways such as exit surveys etc.

    Work with the senior manager to develop and implement human resources policies, programs and related procedures and practices 

Credentials:

    Related degree - or combination of education and experience

    Two years HR or management experience 

    Previous experience working within a collective agreement

Requirements for the Role:

    Strong communication skills, including written and verbal; promote and demonstrate open and positive communication with all areas of the organization

    Demonstrates good judgment and problem solving, strong leadership, and ability to think critically

    Passionate about and committed to the values of community inclusion and belonging

    Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends

    Demonstrated ability to work independently but within a team setting

    Clear Criminal Records Search

    TB test clearance

    Declared Immunization Status and attestation of health

    Valid B.C. driver’s license and an insured vehicle.

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance and Human Resources. Compensation will be negotiated based on a combination of education, experience, and overall suitability.
