The Revenue Cycle Management team works on financial solutions for the healthcare industry across numerous care settings. The team works in a variety of functional areas and in many different technologies to deliver the right solution for the problems our customers face while operating their business. On any given day, the team could be working on new regulatory requirements, optimizing workflows for our customers, or adding new functionality that can make our customers more successful.

Let’s talk about the role

The primary role of the Software Engineer – Backend and Data within our Research and Development team is to design and build application components to deploy in a cloud based modernized technology platform. Works closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand and define customer needs in these components. Features are aligned to a timetable and areas of responsibility.

The immediate task will be to become part of the team building next-generation EHR solutions. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where innovation, efficiency and learning on cutting-edge technology is highly encouraged. 

  • Work as a Backend developer and write software code for a full stack application.
  • Participate in architectural, design, and code reviews providing insight to other engineers and their solutions.
  • Leverage known design patterns to design new software solutions, services, components, and interfaces for ResMed family of products.
  • Write and Optimize backend Java code and Stored Procedures in T-SQL.
  • Leverage known secure programming principles to design software solutions, services, components, & interfaces meet industry/government standards for security/data protection.
  • Come up with data indexing and segmentation strategies to partition and store data efficiently.
  • Review backend code (Stored Procedures) written by other engineers on the team.
  • Work with other engineering teams to make sure data retrieval, storage, segmentation and archival is handled in an effective and optimized way.
  • Leverage known design patterns to design new software solutions, services, components, and interfaces for MatrixCare family of products. 
  • Able to find alternatives using best algorithms for optimal performance of coded solutions. 
  • Leverage known secure programming principles to design new software solutions, services, components, and interfaces that meet industry and government standards for security and data protection. 
  • Responsible for driving innovation forward. You will be given chance to learn new technologies and implement solutions using it within proper guidelines.
     

Let’s talk about you

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering
  • Total Experience – 4+ years as a software engineer.
  • Experience in writing stored procedures using T-SQL for MS SQL Server.
  • Experience in Database Query optimization, Data indexing and partitioning, Database Design and performance fine tuning.
  • Some experience writing queries for ETL tools and Change tracking.
  • Familiarity with Java (preferred) or .Net or NodeJS technologies.
  • Familiarity with API development Principles and Microservices

Preferred:

  • Experience with Dynamo DB or any NoSQL Database
  • Experience with PostGreSQL
  • Okta SSO 
  • Good knowledge Code Quality tools like SonarQube
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitHub and ADOPS
  • Good knowledge of AWS
  • Good Knowledge on RDS based application development

This role is eligible to receive an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance. 

Base Pay Range for this position: 

$103,000- $129,000

  

For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
