Role Overview

The Full Stack Technical Architect will play a vital role in designing and implementing advanced, end-to-end technical solutions within our classified Digital Services department. This role requires extensive collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the architecture aligns with business goals, security requirements, and state-of-the-art technological standards. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in full stack architecture, development, a strong understanding of cybersecurity measures, and significant experience supporting classified projects.​​

What You Will Do​:

  • Design, develop, oversee the implementation, and support of comprehensive full stack technical architectures, blueprints, build documentations and IaC autonomation code for classified digital services, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.​
  • Collaborate with senior business analysts, project managers, and other high-level stakeholders to gather complex requirements and translate them into sophisticated technical solutions.​
  • Ensure all architectural solutions adhere to classified project security requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.​
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept through implementation and support.​
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including high-level design specifications, detailed diagrams, and rigorous security guidelines.​
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful delivery and seamless integration of solutions, providing expert troubleshooting support as needed.​
  • Conduct in-depth architecture reviews and audits to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of solutions.​
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with proposed solutions, ensuring they align with both business and security objectives.​
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously improving solution offerings and driving innovation within the team.​
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior architects and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.​

Qualifications You Must Have :​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.​
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full stack development and technical architecture, with at least 1 years in a classified environment.​
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer​:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex, enterprise-level full stack solutions.​
  • Proficiency in various architectural methodologies and frameworks, with the ability to apply them to real-world scenarios.​
  • Knowledge of architecture frameworks, including but not limited to Infrastructure/Cloud Architecture, DoDAF, TOGAF, FEAF and Zachman
  • Knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies, including but not limited to JavaScript, terraform, Gethub, ansible, React, Angular, Node.js, Java, Python, and database management systems.​
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to strategically address sophisticated business and technical challenges.​
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders and executive leadership.​
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar.​
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools, with a focus on integrating security into the development lifecycle.​
  • Familiarity with classified information handling protocols and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.​
  • Previous experience in the aerospace and defense industry, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirements.​
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and compliance requirements.

Remote: This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
 

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
