The Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) High Risk Compliance Specialist, Senior is responsible for reviewing AML high-risk merchants to include those in the Online Guns and Ammunition, MSBs (Money Service Businesses), Digital Currency and Ingestible CBD space conducting EDD reviews and making decisions regarding high-risk merchants. EDD Specialist may also assist with projects and responsibilities as designed by leadership.
What you'll do:
- Conduct independent reviews and decisioning regarding high- risk EDD investigative/intelligence research of individuals, entities, and/or events related to current or prospective customers through public records, open-source media, vendor systems, or other research tools.
- Ensure high risk merchants are in compliance with applicable state and federal laws prior to boarding. Decision, document and retain records of all investigations and maintains a central database of all investigations, pre-screening and analysis of customer account activity to assist the high- risk EDD process.
- Maintain and update EDD database for reporting and tracking work flow and efficiencies.
- Research applicable federal and state law and regulatory bodies to stay abreast of legislative and regulatory changes.
- Special projects as assigned by leadership.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Four (4) or more years’ experience in high- risk EDD investigations and decision making to include ingestible CBD, Cannabis, MSBs, Crypto-Currency, etc.
- Ability to research, analyze and compile data.
- Prior research using risk analyst tools such as Lexis/Nexis, Fiscal Notes, Westlaw, etc.
- Strong desire and willingness to learn, proactively maintaining awareness of policies and procedures while complying with Regulatory requirements.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of data and information for relevance against established criteria.
- Excellent research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Accuracy, diligence, and the ability to deliver high quality results within tight deadlines with a good sense of risk awareness.
- Self-motivated, team player able to meet required time-lines and a strong sense of accountability
How to stand out:

Travel: Up to 10%
Salary Range: $46,000 - $80,000
