Position Title: Project Manager Intern (Undergraduate - Summer 2025)

Position Purpose: This internship will be support the Health Net Federal Services health plan and be part of the team that manages strategic project implementations for the Enterprise and California market.

As an intern with Centene, you will learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.

  • Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities.
     
  • Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects.
     
  • Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry.
     
  • Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies.

Duties:

  • Work to fill in any blanks within the department project management software tracking tool.
     
  • Partner with leadership to make sure all information remains current.
     
  • Monitor and notify IT Engagement leadership of any upcoming or past due project work for potential escalation / investigation.

Skills:

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
     
  • Great communication, both written and verbal.
     
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Smartsheets.
     
  • Proactive, driven and adaptable.
     
  • Some project management and/or PM software experience such as JIRA a plus.

Experience/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in Business Administration or a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.

Pay Range: $17-23/hour

Location Requirement: This is a remote national internship. Applicants in Pacific time zone or that have the ability to work Pacific core business hours will be given preference.
