Job description

We are in search of an innovative and strategic Content Operations Manager to enhance our team and aid in the development and execution of our content strategy. This role mandates the planning, creating, and managing of content across digital channels to engage our customers.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive content governance and strategies that drive engagement, build awareness for our Success resources, and support business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of content marketing, digital media, and analytics.

  • Develop and implement a cohesive content strategy that aligns with the Success organization’s overall business goals.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define content objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and success metrics.

  • Ensure all Success organization content adheres to Calix’ brand guidelines and voice

  • Establish content governance guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all Success Organization channels.

  • Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging, and relevant content for various digital platforms, including Calix Community, Calix University, videos, email campaigns, etc.

  • Manage the editorial calendar and coordinate content production schedules to meet deadlines and campaign goals.

  • Contribute to the business case for a CMS and story-development pipeline/process, in partnership with project owners in marketing and communications.

  • Figuring out how to categorize all that information, make it accessible and searchable internally and externally, and to have the system flex as we evolve.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.

  • Generate regular reports and insights to inform content strategy adjustments and optimizations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including guidance, education, delivery, marketing, and support, to ensure content aligns with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Act as a key point of contact for content-related inquiries and initiatives across the Success organization, both internally and externally facing programs.

  • Serve as the functional technology owner to manage content-related technology including managing capability and enhancement backlog, coordinating with COE and technology delivery on timely introduction of new features, training and enabling stakeholders on new content tools and processes

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or a related role.

  • Proficiency with content management systems and analytics tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.

  • Experience with multimedia content creation is a plus.

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:

117,300.00 - 176,000.00 USD Annual

National Major Cities plus, CA, CO, NY Metro area:

102,000.00 - 153,000.00 USD Annual

Regional plus NY:

91,800.00 - 137,700.00 USD Annual
