Role Overview:

Our company seeks a visionary leader to fill the role of Customer Marketing Director of Americas. This position will report directly to the General Manager, Amercias and play a critical role in setting the strategic marketing plans for our key customers in the Americas region both online and in-store. 

Your main objective will be WaterWipes category share and sales growth by attracting new to brand customers while sustaining and retaining our current consumer base through an impactful customer strategy. You will work in partnership with the Commercial Sales Directors, Brand Acceleration Director and customers directly to create unique joint business plans, across an Omni Channel market. You will lead the shopper marketing team who are pivotal in optimizing and maintaining our in store and digital presence with a consumer first mindset as well as creating a best-in-class store experience.

The successful candidate will possess robust experience in customer engagement, brand development, and digital marketing, alongside a deep understanding of market trends and consumer behaviour. The role requires superior strategic thought leadership, creativity, and the ability to effectively influence a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally. Experience managing and developing high-performing teams, clear and powerful communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills will be critical for setting and executing the customer marketing strategy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Strategy Architect: Develop and implement a visionary customer marketing strategy that aligns with our global category and brand objectives and regional consumer insights. Uncover hidden opportunities and leverage data-driven analysis to create compelling campaigns that drive sales and loyalty.
  • Drive Consumer Centricity: Harness the power of consumer and shopper insights to gain a profound understanding of their needs, preferences, and motivations. Utilize data-driven insights to devise targeted marketing campaigns and initiatives that truly resonate.
  • Craft Groundbreaking Integrated Campaigns: Design and execute end-to-end shopper marketing campaigns that seamlessly integrate online and offline touchpoints to captivate & influence the modern shopper. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure consistent messaging and a unified brand experience across all channels.
  • Spearhead Innovative Trial Driving Tactics: Leverage shopper analytics, market research, and competitive intelligence to gain deep insights into shopper behaviors and trends, to identify new opportunities to drive trial & for enhancing the overall shopper experience.
  • Experimentation & Improvement: Partner with media buying agencies & retailer media networks to continuously monitor campaign performance, measure ROI, and optimize strategies based on data-driven learnings.
  • Champion Ecommerce Initiatives: Pioneer innovative strategies to reach the ever-growing digital shopper including the planning, execution, and optimization of retail media strategies to drive traffic, boost sales, and amplify brand awareness and conversion within the digital retail environment. 
  • Retailer JBP Relationship Management: Cross functional leadership position that focuses on building midterm JBP with key retail partners – retailer marketing, Omni, and retailer in store marketing. Partner with retailer to understand key top to top opportunities for partnership and commercial innovation initiatives. Ensuring our brand stands out on shelves, drives foot traffic, and delivers an exceptional in-store experience. Collaborate closely with trade marketing teams to align strategies and maximize promotional opportunities. 
  • Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: As the driving force behind our shopper marketing initiatives, you will collaborate closely with sales, innovation teams, and global/regional marketing. Together, you will idea and execute integrated campaigns that captivate shoppers in-store, online, and across various channels.
  • Agency Leadership: Manage the scope and nurture partnerships with key agencies, leveraging their expertise to elevate our shopper marketing initiatives.
  • Inspirational Leadership: Inspire and mentor a high-performing shopper and Omni team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning. Ensure their professional growth and effective execution of shopper marketing initiatives

Experience and Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters degree preferred. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in customer marketing, with at least 5 years in shopper marketing or a related field within the CPG industry, Walmart, Target, Amazon and Grocery/Drug Retail background
  • Past/Current role in Top Tier National Account team in the role of Brand Management, Category Management, or Omni/ Shopper Insights
  • Digitally lead mindset.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate consumer and shopper insights & Brand Strategy into a strategic lighthouse at the retailer.
  • Strong grasp of Marketing Research & Consumer Insight methodologies and analysis.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Adept at building and nurturing strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • 25% travel required in this role.
