Job description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Assistant / Comptroller who is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive to assist in managing the company's financial operations. This role will involve critical tasks such as maintaining distributor communications, organizing payments, handling day-to-day accounting, and assisting with payroll processing. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage distributor communications regarding invoicing, payments, and other financial matters.
  • Organize and track payments, ensuring timely processing of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks such as reconciliations, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Help manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain organized financial records and ensure all financial data is up to date.
  • Work closely with the offshore team in Macedonia to support back-office financial functions.
  • Use QuickBooks for bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
  • Utilize G Suite (Google Workspace) for document management, collaboration, and communication.
  • Collaborate with the financial team to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a financial assistant or comptroller role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business.
  • General Accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
  • Experience with G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.) for collaboration and file management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of the solar energy industry is a plus, but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Part time in 2024: Monday to Friday, with hours overlapping either the 8:00AM- 12:00 PM CDT OR 3:00PM-7:00 PM CDT time block. Must be amenable to shifting hours.
  • Full time in 2025: Monday to Friday, following CDT Time Zone. Must be amenable to shifting hours.
