Purpose of the position

 

Responsible for developing and managing long-term relationships for key/national customer accounts to achieve designated sales target levels. Responsible for sales and order intake increase, supporting the rental and leasing business and managing the sales directly with national end users, national rental/lease account managers, etc.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the direct sales and order intake process and increase, aiming at meeting and/or exceeding top line growth and profitability within National Accounts
  • Develop and maintain profitable business with designated accounts; responsibility for the budgeting and profitability
  • Responsible for development of new accounts which meet the guidelines to be considered “National Accounts”
  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders and centers of competence in all required business segments at the earliest stage to respond to clients' integrated business needs
  • Expand sales, introduce new products/services to clients and organize visits to current and potential clients
  • Submit short and long-range sales plans and prepare sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets. Ensure that pricing and agreements are up-to-date and communicated to needed persons
  • Retain and intensify long-term customer relationships by providing comprehensive integrated proposals for established accounts
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage communication cadences, quarterly/annual business reviews, and other necessary reviews to ensure proper national account management
  • Formulate a sales and marketing strategy for the assigned area, developing guidelines and policies in line with the business strategy
  • Responsible for sales expansion, ensuring new product introductions, new market insights and active relationship management towards existing and new customers
  • Negotiate terms of sales and deal with significant national/regional accounts
  • Travel required, est. 50-60% nationally

 

Key accountabilities:

 

  • Sales and Order Intake Growth- Nationally with key end users, national lease/rental account managers, etc.
  • Manage Key Trailer, OEM, Truck Body Builders that are directly working with these national account customers
  • Support Waltco Dealer Network 
  • Support trade shows and events that for the liftgate business

Education:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • College Degree in Business, Engineering or Marketing. MBA or MS is a plus

 

Working experience:

 

  • Transportation Industry Experience in Sales/Marketing/Business
