Summary of Job Duties:
The renovation assistant assists in moving books, computer equipment, large-sized filing cabinets, and other furniture between floors of Mullins Library and from other campus buildings to Mullins Library and the Fine Arts Library.
This includes lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling materials on wheels weighing up to 150 lbs. The assistant will handle all items with care and neatly arrange books in call number order on the shelves in their new location. The assistant will also package the drawers from the large-sized filing cabinets for secure transportation and may assist with disassembling shelving or other furniture. Additional duties may be assigned.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Work schedule: 39 hours per week Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
This is a temporary position with a tentative start date of January 6th, depending on the completion of the construction projects.
We will follow the University holiday schedule.
