As a data engineer, you will be expected to understand business and data requirements, support development by implementing ETL (Extract Transform Load) / ELT (Extract Load Transform) jobs/components and pipelines
What You Will DoFamiliarity with system modelling tools including Data Flow Diagrams, Process Models, ER diagrams, Dimensional Data Models, and Use Case ScenariosDevelop Matillion ETL transformations and orchestrations as requiredDevelop and write simple to complex SQL queries and stored procedures through Snowflake to extract, transform and load data into and from the Data warehouseWork closely with the team to deliver new data requirements and maintenance, data analysis and reporting solutions, and possible continuous improvement initiatives (e.g performance tuning) within the team scopeResponsible for the coordination of the Production, Development and Sandbox environmentsAccountable for coordinating releases with the DevOps team and helping create and maintain technical and system documentation related to release/changesProvide assistance to fix reported bugs and out-of-hours support as requested as part of incidents managementWhat You Will Bring - EssentialB.S. degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience1 to 2 years of IT experience required in working with ETL tools (e.g. Matillion, Informatica, SSIS, Talend, etc.) Understanding and familiarity of knowledge in ETL design, concept and methodologies such as relational and dimensional data modelsProficient with basic SQL using any of industry databases (e.g. Snowflake, Oracle, MSSQL, etc.)Knowledge of the processes when working on pre-release environments, moving changes between environmentsAbility to deliver work to schedule and under pressure (capable to self-manage workload and prioritize effectively)Ability to work in a cross-functional team environmentTeam player and proactive in naturePassionate to learn about complex data structures and problem-solvingAbility to pick up new data tools and concepts quicklyExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsWhat You Will Bring - DesirableFamiliarity and understanding of API developmentFamiliarity with AWS (EC2, IAM, etc.)Familiarity with Snowflake and/or columnar data storesFamiliarity on Jira and ConfluenceBasic experience with PowerBIReady to Join Us?
