Overview:
Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking an experienced Electrical OH Lines Engineer II to join our Electric sector. The OH Lines Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, or conducting quality control (QC) reviews on electrical transmission and distribution lines. This role involves working on projects that contribute to the development and enhancement of power infrastructure. The position plays a pivotal role in maintaining industry standards, implementing innovative solutions, and providing technical expertise in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze or QC transmission and distribution lines using state-of-the-art software, including PLS-CADD or other utility relevant engineering software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Apply engineering principles to optimize the performance and reliability of transmission and distribution lines.
- Conduct QC assessments to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
- Identify issues and raise them for management review along with potential solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
- Attend meetings with clients, vendors and governing agencies as required.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of department and company goals.
- Participate in special projects or tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field; Master's degree required
- 5-8 years of experience in transmission and distribution lines engineering required
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) required; PE (Professional Engineer) preferred
- In-depth knowledge of electric utility industry standards and regulations
- Proficient in PLS-CADD or other utility relevant engineering software
- In-depth understanding of electric utility industry standards
- Ability to lead and coordinate project activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Acumen to lead engineering projects related to transmission and distribution lines
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Excellent communication and project management skills
Salary: $83,200 - $124,800
Work Location: Remote (CA residents preferred)
Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship
Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
