As an Enterprise Data Architect with Rocket Innovation Studio, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s data landscape. You’ll identify data requirements, design and maintain blueprints, and ensure seamless data integration. You’ll align data investments with the business strategy, all while creating efficient, sustainable and agile solutions.
About the Role
- Strategic Roadmaps: Create and evolve technology roadmaps defining company data architectures and supporting data strategies.
- Performance And Security: Ensure data solutions are performant, secure and follow reusable patterns.
- Best Practices: Develop and share best practices for data discovery, change management and deployment.
- Data Standards: Research, analyze and promote data standards across the organization.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver roadmaps and enable data capabilities.
- Architectural Design: Design integrations with other data sources and architect data solutions.
- Technology Evaluation: Identify build vs. buy strategies for data technologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor performance trends and improve processes.
- Mentoring And Guidance: Mentor team members and define internal guidelines.
- Stay Current: Research and stay informed about new technologies.
About You
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field
- 7 years of experience in database administration, application development, data integration, modeling and management
- 7 years of experience with relational, big data, conceptual and logical data modeling
- 5 years of experience with system architecture and normalization considerations
- Experience with ArchiMate, TOGAF, SOA or CMMI
- General experience with Python, PowerShell, SQL or Bash
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years of experience with data quality management, reference data management, master data management, ODS/graph management, enrichment and analytics, metadata management, integrations and service standards, data lakes or governance (architectural and technical)
- 5 years of experience building data solutions
- 5 years of experience with intersystem communication strategies, including ESB and web services
- Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of and experience with Open Group Standards and Agile software development practices
- Familiarity with MapReduce syntax such as the Hadoop stack
