ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY 

NP Digital is a fast-growing digital marketing agency looking to bring on board a driven and experienced billing specialist to support various accounting tasks across the agency.

As a member of the Canadian Finance team, you will report to the Senior Finance Manager. Candidates should be able to work alone and within a team. Ideally, we need someone who is highly motivated and can communicate effectively with team members and business partners while using their interpersonal and analytical skills to understand the needs of the business.

This position is based out of Canada so applicants must reside and be authorized to work in Canada.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES 

•    Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, ensuring timely vendor invoices processing, accurate book-keeping, and timely payment runs
•    Handle internal and external vendor inquiries, providing clear communication on payment status & resolve any discrepancies
•    Review and interpret client contracts to understand billing requirements and implications
•    Conduct follow-ups with clients on overdue invoices, ensuring prompt payment and resolution
•    Accurately allocate incoming client payments and maintain updated records
•    Perform bank and credit card reconciliations with precision and attention to detail
•    Support month-end close procedures, including prepayments, accruals, and journal entry preparation
•    Build effective working relationships across departments, fostering collaboration
•    Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures as needed
•    Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and ensure accuracy and quality
•    Assist in the financial setup and support of new market expansions while remaining adaptable and open to continuous learning
•    Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment, demonstrating strong multitasking abilities

ABOUT YOU

•    3-5 Years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in the digital media or related sectors
•    Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting / Finance majors preferred; MBA, CMA or CPA preferred
•    Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
•    Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and industry-standard formulas)
•    Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, and NetSuite is preferred
•    Excellent time management skills, with a proven track record of meeting goals and deadlines
•    Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
•    Self-motivated with a capacity for independent work
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high-quality output

•    Familiarity with Canadian Taxation and compliance is a plus
