Principal Consultant - Oracle EBS Technical

POSITIOn SUMMARY
This role will be based out of India, reporting to Senior Manager- Professional Services. In this role, the resource will be working on client projects – both Application Managed Services (AMS) and Professional Services - and will be responsible for the design, development, preparation of technical design documents, designing technical solutions to complex client requirements, remediation of CEMLI objects and unit testing the custom solutions in Oracle EBS implementation and upgrade projects. In this role, the resource will be working on support projects providing regular support to clients and helping them in resolving their issues. The resource will be working in an offshore-onsite model and will be required to constantly interact with the onsite team and the client resources.
Responsibilities:
- Work on Application Managed Services (AMS) projects related to Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion.
- Monitor tickets and provide regular updates on tickets and work on resolving issues raised by client.
- Provide technical support to AMS customers on Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion.
- Work in Shifts (Moring and Evening) to support client work.
- Proactively work with Oracle support to resolve technical and application related issues.
- Support the development of training materials and assist when necessary. in development-oriented activities. Migrate code between test, QA, and production environments.
- Develop documentation for assigned projects including installation guides, troubleshooting guides, run books etc.
- Work closely with functional team members and clients to understand business requirements.
- Design, Develop, Modify and Unit test interfaces, conversions, reports, forms and other Oracle Application extensions and deliver them to the Functional team/client.
- Direct interaction with client resources and participating in technical discussions with the client.
- Able to work independently and be a good team player by participating in team discussions and providing feedback/solutions wherever necessary.
- Work with the team on technical issues and provide support for development tasks.
- Understand the EBS Data architecture and design for leading the overall technical development.
- Involve in technical design and development, review of all technical components.
- Proactively work with Oracle support to resolve technical and application related issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor/Master’s degree or relevant career experience
- Knowledge:
- Strong experience in SQL/PLSQL, Forms, Reports, BI publisher and EBS R12 API's /Open Interfaces, Workflows and Oracle Application Framework (OAF) – desirable
- Ability to trouble-shoot and solve problems independently.
- Ability to provide solutions for any technical requirements of clients.
- Should have excellent knowledge in APIs and Interface tables of Financials, SCM and HCM (preferrable) modules.
- Should have strong experience in AOL, registering Concurrent Programs, deploying and migrating code across instance.
- Should have good knowledge on EBS R12 pre-upgrade and post-upgrade activities.
- Should have good expertise in Unix/Linux scripts
- Should have good exposure and should have worked on Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and on the technical aspects of Fusion Cloud Application
- Other Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate within the onsite/offshore teams and with the client resources.

Experience:

- Must have minimum 12-17 years of technical experience with Oracle EBS RICEW development
- Must have worked on engagements that involved providing Production support for all technical issues raised by a client.
- Should have worked independently on AMS support tickets to provide a solution to technical issues raised by the client.
- Should be well-versed in debugging the issues and providing a solution to fix the issues.
- Should have experience in interacting with clients to get details on the issues raised and/or gathering requirements for any enhancements/modifications to existing CEMLI objects.
- Should be well-versed with the overall AMS support process.
- Should have worked on Professional Services projects that involved implementation and/or upgrades of EBS projects.
- Experience in Requirement Gathering, Design and Development, Testing, deployment, and post-production support in an implementation project.
- Experience in at least one EBS upgrade project (R12.1.x to R12.2.x) would be preferrable.
- Experience in Oracle Integration Cloud and Fusion Cloud Application (Technical) will be an added advantage.
- Should have worked in an offshore-onsite model with direct interaction with onsite resources and clients.
- Should have worked independently in an Implementation and Upgrade project.
- Should have worked on Service Now or any other tool for managing tickets.
