We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our team Remote based anywhere in Canada.

Job Description:

Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.
Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
Help to develop reports and analysis.
Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software.
Assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of technical experience working as a Data Analyst.
5+ years of experience assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis.
5+ years of SQL experience (TSQL, Spark SQL, MYSQL, and/or PLSQL).
7+ year of experience with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Must have Power BI and DAX programming experience.
Must have Data Modeling experience (Star Schema) and visualization experience (PA, BPA tabular).
Administration/Security experience - Service Account, AZ group management, PBI Gateways, PBI Workspace setup.
Optimization experience - Querying within SQL/NoSQL settings (Server & serverless).

Preferred Skills:

Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or more years of experience in SQL, SAS or other data systems.
In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, graphs, etc.
Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques.
Python experienced considered a plus.
Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions.
