About the Role

As a Java Developer, you will be directly reporting to the Australian-based Development Team Manager and you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Java and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to create innovative and efficient solutions. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of web projects and the seamless integration of AEM into the development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with technology teams to build and maintain web applications using Web CMS/Sprint boot to include site architecture, custom components, and workflow development.
• Creating Java components, templates & pages from supplied HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Specifically testing, debugging, diagnosing, and correcting errors and faults, guidelines, and quality standards to ensure applications perform to specification.
• Writing and maintaining code to meet system requirements, system designs, and technical specifications.
• Integrating websites with web analytics tools.

Experience & Software

• A demonstrable passion for software development and web technologies.
• At least 7+ years of Java web development experience and Spring Boot or web CMS.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8/11.
• Experience with AEM preferred but not required.
• Experience building and integrating REST API’s.
• Strong understanding of web standards and technologies (HTTP, Request/Response, SSL, Browser caching, cookies, domains, JSON/XML, HTML, DOM, etc).
• SQL, relational database, and ORM experience.
• Knowledge of GIT, development workflows, and IDE’s.
• Implement secure coding practices and test code for security vulnerabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive work ethic, enthusiasm for learning, and a willingness to pass AEM exams.
• Exceptional communication skills.
