CACI’s ITEMSS Program is hiring an experienced User Interface/ User Experience (UI/UX) software front end developer for product team based in Pittsburgh and the Northern Virginia areas. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of agile software development practices and experience delivering deployable software in short sprints. They will work as an integral part of an Agile Scrum team–a highly productive team of technical professionals who thrive on supporting the customer's mission and growth objectives. The individual will work in close collaboration with software developers/engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes.
More About the Role:
Develop and maintain the front-end code base for multiple data science web applications using HTML5, CSS, and Javascript
Integrate UI/UX designs into efficient user interfaces and web app front-ends
Develop and execute unit tests for software components
Collaborate with a software development team using Git
Designing, developing, and implementing custom software capabilities for an Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Platform with limited oversight
Acts as a member of a product team supporting teammates and collaborating with a positive attitude to ensure product and team success
Provide significant improvements to the platform being supported
Active participation in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives and solution releases
Analyzing complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving, scheduling, technology, and methodology
Ensuring product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reports
Provide input on best practices and procedures creation
Developing new and refining existing process to enhance quality and productivity
Required Skills:
College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
Deep technical expertise in software design and implementation with reusable components
Professional Experience: at least seven (7) years related technical experience, with software design, development and implementation
7 years’ experience using HTML, CSS, and Typescript/ Javascript
7 years’ experience build applications with React.js
Experience developing applications in remote (cloud based) environments
Experience using RESTful interfaces and working with back-end developers to define new interfaces
Must be a U.S. Citizen with at least an interim DOD Secret clearance or higher
Experience with TypeScript and React
Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative, exhibit ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
Ability to apply estimation techniques to software development efforts
Ability to identify and manage risk
Strong collaboration skills and desire to work within a team
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic and a self-starter
Able to be methodical in documenting and testing your own code
Comfortable working independently and as a member of a team
Acts independently to expose and resolve problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
Experience using the Jinja templating language in Django projects
Experience building components that efficiently manage large amounts of data
Experience developing applications for classified data
Experience integrating machine learning and analytical components
Experience building Progressive Web Applications
Experience building Data Science Dashboards using tools like Dash, Streamlit, and RShiny
Experience building custom visualizations using D3.js
Technical Certifications for UI/UX
Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
Direct experience providing production support for UI/ UX development

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,100-$172,400
