What you’ll be doing...
The Verizon Value Group is hiring a Senior Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager to play a key role in leading a small team focused on holistic search strategies, with an emphasis on search engine optimization (SEO). This role requires deep experience in all aspects of content & technical SEO, with holistic decision making rooted in data, insights, and best practices. In this role, you will be leading Verizon’s web-based search marketing strategy to promote the company’s brand and to attract new visitors from organic search in order to generate new leads and drive conversions. We are looking for a passionate marketer with extensive background in SEO with a data first approach. You will be expected to execute large-scale strategic initiatives for the Value portfolio and have a strong understanding of holistic search. This role oversees SEO for all Value brands - Total Wireless, Straight Talk, Visible, Tracfone, and Simple Mobile.
SEO Strategy Development: Leading the creation and execution of comprehensive SEO strategies tailored for our e-commerce site, focusing on increasing organic traffic, improving search rankings, and driving conversions.
Holistic Search Management: Developing and managing a holistic search roadmap that aligns with business objectives, incorporating both SEO and paid search strategies to maximize traffic and conversions.
Keyword Research & Optimization: Conducting extensive keyword research to identify high-impact keywords relevant to prepaid mobile products. Optimize product and category pages, as well as blog content, for targeted keywords.
On-Page and Off-Page SEO: Optimizeing on-page elements and develop an off-page link-building strategy to enhance brand authority and visibility.
Technical SEO Management: Collaborating with technical teams, including front-end development and infrastructure, to ensure optimal website architecture, mobile responsiveness, and page load speeds.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilizing analytical tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console) to monitor website performance and generate reports that synthesize data into actionable insights. Forecast SEO opportunities and track progress against established metrics.
Content Strategy: Partnering with content creators to develop high-quality, SEO-friendly content that addresses customer needs, including product descriptions, informative blogs, and landing pages.
Competitor Analysis: Conducting ongoing analysis of competitor SEO strategies to identify market gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with UX/UI teams, designers, and business stakeholders to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into every project.

In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days (in-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
What We’re Looking For...
You’ll need to have:
Six or more years of relevant work experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience in SEO, preferably in e-commerce.
Strong analytical skills and experience with dashboards and reporting, involving large datasets and multiple data sources.
Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog) to inform strategy and decision-making.
Experience leading a team in a mid to large-scale organization or client engagement.
Agency management experience.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Proven track record of improving organic search rankings and driving sales in competitive landscapes.
Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tracks of work effectively.
Experience in measurement of SEO, Paid Search, or other digital channels.
Familiarity with relevant web design principles and UX/CX best practices.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to rapidly build expertise on new businesses and industry verticals.
