What we’re looking for...

This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or are participants of the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 1-2025.

Our Fraud Strategy team is responsible for Prevention, Detection, and Customer Handling of Account Takeover, Identify Theft, First Party Fraud, Never Pay, and Network Fraud across VCG. As a VCG Fraud Strategy Sr. Analyst, you will become a Subject Matter Expert in assessing and mitigating Fraud risks related to customer authentication and equipment purchases. You will have an extensive knowledge of the various order flows (digital, telesales, retail, etc.) and fraud tools; as well as strong collaborative partnerships with our channel partners. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and can adapt to changing circumstances and juggle competing priorities. You work with a sense of urgency and get personal satisfaction from analyzing problems and delivering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert in the evaluation of complex initiatives to understand and mitigate potential risks, which will include research, risk analysis and agile solution design and recommendations,  

  • Development and implementation of key risk mitigation solutions that cross multiple channels

  • Support multiple, simultaneous sales, marketing, and experience work streams, liaising with other teams for planning, knowledge management and standards development that can support scalability and efficiency

  • Support continual evolution and enhancement of the threat landscape while reducing customer friction

  • Support an ecosystem of risk mitigation while innovating across the Verizon journey

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four years of work experience

  • Two or more years of relevant work experience

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree or higher degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics or related field.

  • Industry certification such as CFE.

  • Working knowledge of data analytics tools  (Excel, Kibana, Qlik, Tableau, SQL)

  • Two or more years of diverse experience in multiple fields, including Fraud, Security, Finance Operations, Project Management, and Customer Experience.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, complete important time sensitive tasks and adapt quickly to last minute changes.

  • Advanced critical thinking skills, ability to work independently with limited guidance.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to focus on the details.

Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
