What you’ll be doing...

As a Associate Director for Data Integration and Analytics team, you will be managing and owning the data engineering, business intelligence and analytics strategy, deliver design of data and reporting products, and focus on driving scalable data management and governance practices. Leading and managing the team of Managers, data architects, analysts and BI developers to deliver solutions to business teams.

  • Supporting CSG business transformation initiative for all their data and Intelligence needs.
  • Providing support through constant and regular interactions with multiple Associate Directors and Directors across business and GTS
  • Leading the Enterprise Data Engineering transformation to a cloud based North Star architecture.
  •  Building reusable core data products for Finance, Supply Chain, HR and strategy teams  to enable prediction & simulation
  • People management - performance, coaching and mentoring
  • Guiding the team to deliver on the Logical & Physical Data Models, Dashboards and Reports.
  • Driving Data Quality and Governance across all data pipelines, models, dashboards and related business areas
  • Building a high-quality Data engineering team and continuing to drive to scale up.
  • Ensuring the team adheres to the standard methodologies on data engineering practices.
  • Building cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Business teams to understand data needs and deliver data for insight solutions.
  • Driving the design, building, and launching of new data models, data pipelines and dashboards.
  • Performing advanced analytics, modeling and data mining to develop insights on our business.
  • Understanding drivers using root cause analysis needed to provide a fact-based recommendation to stakeholders.
  • Working with other business units within Verizon, vendors, and executives to represent and drive our organization's strategy.
  • Using data visualization and other data-gathering methods to either provide internal strategic direction or guide decisions for other teams.

You’ll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or six or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Domain expertise in Finance/Supply Chain/HR
  • Experience in building reusable data products
  • Well versed with GCP offerings and building data pipelines on GCP
  • Experience in working with globally distributed teams.
  • Good Communication and Presentation skills.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Master’s degree.
  • Certifications in any Data Warehousing/Analytical solutioning/Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Experience in technical leadership in architecture, design, implementation and support of large-scale data and analytics solutions that are highly reliable, flexible, and scalable.
