System Engineer, Senior

As a systems engineer on our team, you'll provide networking, fabrication, security, lab, and deployment support by delivering engineering solutions for network configurations, deployment loading of software, and patching and troubleshooting deployed software and hardware on a variety of servers and switches.
Customers will rely on you to resolve connectivity issues between the lab, live and dev, and production systems, system-to-system applications and interfaces, end-to-end threads, network switch installs, configurations and racks, and stacks and installs of various servers and switch components. You Have:
Experience in Network Information Service and UNIX and LINUX operating systems, including RedHat or CentOs
Experience with developing and implementing system configuration scripts in Python, Perl, Java, ksh, csh, Bourne, or Bash
Experience with C++
Experience with providing support to IT systems, including day-to day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution of all of client, server, storage, and network devices
Experience with applying operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrading administrative tools and utilities
Experience drafting and updating technical requirements, engineering documents, configuration documents, training manuals, and troubleshooting processes
Knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and user authentication
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor's degree in Technology and 14+ years of experience in systems engineering, or 19+ years of experience with systems engineering in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience providing system administration service to Linux infrastructure and development systems
Experience with C or Java
DoD 8570 compliance IAT Category Level II Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
