Program and Project Management Specialist

The Opportunity:  

As a project and program management specialist, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, a project and program management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication. 

On our team, you’ll implement and maintain organizational programs in support of Digital Battlespace Platform's strategy. You’ll work with key stakeholders to review contracts and project cost accounting. You’ll help with tactical planning using resources like MS Project and have regular interactions with subject matter experts, schedulers, and customers. You'll maintain responsibility for planning and managing programs in conjunction with Booz Allen team members and the client to execute the development of a complex program from design phase through implementation. You'll interpret identified configuration management and documentation requirements and convert to program deliverables. You'll ensure effective communication between technical and non–technical functions within the program. You'll coordinate and document project schedules, monitor budget, and assign tasks in accordance with client requirements and keep the client informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected project results.

You Have: 

  • 8+ years of experience in program planning and implementation, contract interpretation, business administration, or supporting budget development and administration of government projects

  • Experience developing project scope documents, project timetables, test plans, and documents that would be provided to Project Managers

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Project, Outlook, and Word and developing and modifying program Excel spreadsheets

  • Ability to provide out briefs on tasks and projects to keep clients informed of key issues and changes that may impact expected project results

  • Ability to deliver comprehensive programmatic support by providing oversight on project schedules, coordinating client meetings, research, and assigning and track tasks in accordance with requirements

  • Ability to display flexibility, show initiative and innovation, and deal with ambiguous and fast paced situations

  • Ability to assist with Configuration Management (CM) tasks and documentation reviews

  • Ability to collect, edit, and format weekly highlights and milestones in a fast–paced, multi–layered program office

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Administration, or Management

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with the DoD

  • Experience with performing or supporting project controls, planning, scheduling, cost estimation, or risk management

  • CAPM, PMP, or other Program Management Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
