Job description

Join Our Team as a Revenue Operation and Billing Manager!

We are seeking a dynamic Revenue Operation and Billing Manager to lead our Revenue Operations and Billing team at Team Global Express (TGE). This role is essential in driving a data-driven, efficient, and value-focused revenue assurance culture, ensuring financial integrity and enhancing customer satisfaction.

As the manager, you’ll work closely with the Head of Revenue Management and cross-functional partners to uplift our revenue operations and refine billing solutions for optimal accuracy, efficiency and service quality.

We welcome applications from candidates located in both Melbourne and Sydney.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead a high-performing team by setting and implementing strategies aligned with TGE’s revenue management objectives. Challenge the status quo and develop policies, processes and insights that enhance revenue, efficiency, governance, and communication across revenue operations.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee billing accuracy, ensure timely processing, and prevent revenue leakage through targeted initiatives. Monitor key metrics, deliver value-focused projects, and manage daily operations to meet SLAs, including “Bill Right First Time” standards and remediation timelines.
  • Process Improvement: Spearhead initiatives to identify and resolve billing discrepancies, streamline manual and automated processes, and implement best practices to maintain accuracy in consignment billing and revenue reporting.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across TGE—such as Sales, Customer Onboarding, and Pricing & Analytics—to ensure that revenue processes support a seamless and satisfying customer experience. Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and act as a strategic advisor to the business.
  • People Development: Cultivate a collaborative, value-focused and customer-focused team environment, offering guidance, training, and growth opportunities. Support team members in driving data-informed decision-making, enhancing individual performance, and maintaining a positive, results-driven culture.

Key Skills & Capabilities:

  • Leadership & Industry Knowledge: Proven experience managing revenue operations or billing teams within large, diverse organizations—experience in transport/logistics is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with end-to-end value chain design, integrated finance systems (billing, CRM, disputes), and performance metrics (KPIs, SLAs) to drive data-backed process improvements.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and execute process improvements. Experience in managing reform programs, with a track record of leveraging data insights to mitigate revenue risks, drive revenue improvements and streamline billing workflows.
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Strong communicator who can convey complex insights clearly and foster strong relationships with senior management and key stakeholders. Capable of collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
  • Change Management: Experienced in managing change within a functionally structured organization, able to drive business transformation and encourage new perspectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8-10 years in revenue assurance, billing, or operations within large-scale organizations, ideally with experience in the transport/logistics industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams, both onshore and offshore.
  • Strong background in data analysis, process improvement, and customer-centered revenue initiatives.
  • Knowledge of RCTI and revenue assurance systems and a proactive, solution-focused approach are advantageous.
