The pay range is $69,000.00 - $124,200.00

A role with the Print & Pattern Design team means a big opportunity to start from scratch and create something truly original. Can you demonstrate the utmost attention to detail and create artwork that is unique in the marketplace and delivers on a collective vision? Do you bring an original point of view and a confident hand in your art style? Then you’ll have success on our Print Design team who owns the design and development of artwork for all Target-owned brands in our Home division. In close partnership with leaders, you’ll create original art and textile patterns that drive brand cohesion and continuity, ensuring that our end products meet the strategies and overall creative direction.

Under the overall direction of Design leadership, you will work on an assigned collection of art for a brand and manage your own process and calendar. You will be expected to maintain a diligent approach to workload, which includes timely communication with your partners. You’ll support and drive concepts throughout the development process. You will create original artwork that delivers on overall creative direction. You’ll build brand cohesion by partnering with peers across the division to ensure continuity. You’ll also identify, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

About You:

  • Four-year degree in Illustration, Textile Design, Fine Art, or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years of relevant experience

  • A background in painting or illustration, watercolor and gouache a plus

  • Adobe design system skills including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

  • Experience in 3D software a plus

  • Ability to visualize surface design onto product

  • Knowledge of textile design & product production

  • Experience assimilating design feedback

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience working in a retail or product development environment

  • Ability to build relationships in order to successfully work in a team environment

  • Ability to respond to business objectives with creative, original design solutions
