As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering departments across multiple properties within our portfolio. You will be a leader in defining safety procedures, maintaining our facilities to the highest standards, and developing our teams. This position is based in our Home Office in Englewood, CO. Responsibilities:
  • Support the engineering department leadership teams and provide guidance to teams via virtual or on-site collaboration.
  • Partner with the field leadership to establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs for equipment, systems, guestrooms, and public areas.
  • Lead the implementation of safety programs and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Provide support to the capital improvement projects across hotels, resorts, and HOA divisions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering leadership on department budgets, monthly forecasts, and loss prevention strategies.
  • Ensure that all facilities, equipment, furniture, fixtures, and landscaping are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Manage external contracts and oversee workflow related to repairs, maintenance, mechanical systems, FF&E, and Life Safety Systems.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, including career development and training.
  • Adapt to evolving situations and provide effective solutions in high-pressure environments.
Qualifications:
  • Experienced with at least five years of experience in facilities management within a comparable business (property management, HOA, mixed-use resort).
  • Versed in preventative maintenance tracking and work order systems.
  • Knowledgeable of current Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
  • Experience coordinating capital improvement projects, including renovations, FF&E procurement, and site upgrades.
  • Strong negotiation skills related to code compliance and contracts.
  • Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations related to facilities management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system problems with extensive working knowledge of building systems to include but not limited to; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, roofs, building finishes, mechanical operations, systems controls, energy management systems.

Salary range: $165,000 - $185,000/yr. + bonus

Location: This position is based at our home office in Englewood, CO.
