What You’ll Do
- Execute with strong leadership and management skills.
- Measure and manage the performance of direct reports to achieve positive win ratios, increased sales bookings/ACV and lower churn.
- Lead the professional development of direct reports and assist with the professional development of the broader Solution Consulting team.
- Guide the goal setting process with each direct report.
- Conduct timely performance discussions and goal reviews with each direct report.
- Actively participate in strategic planning for the Solution Consulting team.
- Ensure timely and efficient communication of availability and committed dates to Sales peers for resourcing sales engagements.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone who:
- Ability to work 100% remotely, or from an Applied Systems office in Canada.
- Available for up to 75% travel nationwide.
Your experience should include some or all the following:
- Must have great leadership skills.
- Must functionally manage a remote team through transparent, predictable communication and clear expectations and goals.
- Must have a broad knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Works from policies and objectives with little functional guidance.
- Uses independent judgment to devise methods or modify standard procedures for procedural improvements.
- Maintains confidentiality when working with confidential data such as organization plans, development of products, acquisitions, proprietary business information, legal matters or profit margins which, if disclosed, may have significant effect and/or be detrimental to the organization’s interests.
- Must have a strong passion for driving business through a consultative method.
- Must be sincerely client focused and be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
- Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding client base and product portfolio.
- Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally.
- Organized and analytical, able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches and deal well with ambiguity.
- Advanced ability to discourse using insurance industry terminology and discuss insurance-specific issues/needs of consumers.
- Ability to interpret and prioritize critical needs of a prospect/client and the Solution Consulting team.
- Ability to develop a technical understanding of software architecture and capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of the insurance industry (i.e., ability to discuss day-to-day retail insurance agency/brokerage operations by role or function) preferred.
Additionally, you may have:
- In-depth technical and business value knowledge of Applied Systems and competitive technologies preferred.
- Bilingual English / French beneficial.
