Job description

Carry1st is Africa’s leading publisher of mobile games and digital content. Operating at the intersection of games, publishing, and fintech, we scale awesome content in frontier markets by solving hard problems. Across our publishing and Pay1st business lines, we are partnered with top global game companies like Riot Games, Activision, and Stillfront. As a People Ops Manager, you will support all aspects of our people-operations, ensuring the business runs smoothly, and setting our teammates up for success. This role requires strong relationship-building, project management skills, and creative problem-solving to meet the needs of a fully remote, global team.

  • Collaborate with leadership and employees to build a high-performance remote culture
  • Lead strategic projects to develop scalable people practices in a multicultural environment
  • Monitor key People metrics and implement improvement solutions
  • Manage performance reviews and identify training needs
  • Act as the go-to for teammates regarding policies

Requirements

What makes you a great candidate?

  • 3+ years experience in consulting or a similar in-house role, ideally in a scale-up
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective project management and decision-making capabilities
  • Experience living or working in a frontier market, preferably in Africa
  • Bonus: Experience in a multinational or fully remote environment
