Job Role

We're seeking a skilled Power BI Developer, experienced in developing Power BI reports and other reports to join our team. You'll be responsible for creating pre-defined reports, ensuring data accuracy, and providing insights to help drive business decisions.

Our  ideal candidate will have a real passion for analysis and ability to work innovatively, acting as business partners within the various business lines and delivering advanced data insights using a variety of analytical tools and techniques. These analytical insights will help us to identify and predict patterns of behaviour with results provided in clear and concise outputs to support business decision making and risk analysis.

You'll be experienced in data analytics and business intelligence and have excellent SQL skills, the ability to work independently and in a team environment.  We need your skill in writing DAX formulas for custom calculations and aggregations, and skills in transforming and preparing data using Power Query editor.

You’ll be a complex problem solver and a creative thinking and have the ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

•    Develop, design, and maintain pre-defined reports and dashboards using Power BI.
•    Gather and analyse business requirements to ensure reports meet user needs.
•    Ensure data accuracy and consistency in all reports.
•    Build and present data insights through advanced visuals, tailoring data outputs to the audience from exec level presentations through to front-line dashboards
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
•    Optimize and enhance existing Power BI reports and dashboards.
•    Maintain documentation for report development processes and standards.
•    Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI reports and dashboards.
•    Source, review and recommend opportunities for data/AI to enhance reporting/business operations

Skills and Experience

•    Experience in data analysis and business intelligence.
•    Experience of building data tools and visuals using tools such as Power BI.
•    Experience of data business partnering, working with stakeholders to identify opportunities and solutions to business challenges. 
•    Comfortable working with data from multiple sources.
•    Experience in a commercial / corporate environment including financial imperatives. A good working knowledge of data modelling including relationships between tables.
•    Proficient in writing DAX formulas for custom calculations and aggregations.
•    Skill in transforming and preparing data using Power Query editor.
•    Strong SQL skills.
•    Understanding of good design principles.
•    Ability to interpret complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce well-structured requirement.
