BDR Solutions, LLC, (BDR) supports the U.S. Federal Government in successfully achieving its mission and goals. Our service and solution delivery starts with understanding each client's end-state, and then seamlessly integrating within each Agency's organization to improve and enhance business and technical operations and deployments.
BDR is seeking an AV Support Technician to join our growing team! This is a hybrid position that will be performed on-site in Washington, DC. This position requires US Citizenship with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Role Overview

This position will provide tier 1 support for our client's A/V equipment. The ideal candidate will have a balanced skill set in both AV and IT support and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and technical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Field telephone calls forwarded by the Help Desk tier 1 personnel relevant to A/V equipment.
  • Visit sites to resolve A/V equipment issues.
  • Make rounds of the systems to proactively address problems, and to ensure that the equipment is in presentable condition (clean and organized.)
  • Field customer's input on the systems, and pass that input onto the client's A/V POC(s).
  • Aid the client's A/V POC(s) in the design of both enhancements to existing systems, and brand new A/V systems
Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Clearance: must have a fully adjudicated Secret at a T3 level
  • AS in IT or related field.
  • Must have one of the following certifications: CCSP and/or, DM-NVX-N and/or CTS-I
  • Minimum of 2 years' of relevant hands on AV experience with Crestron and/or Extron A/V equipment.
  • Minimum of 2 years' of hands-on experience with Polycom, Cisco, and/or LifeSize VTC equipment.
  • Able to access and work within tight spaces.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.



In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
