Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing policy forms and ensuring they meet our quality standards. Your expertise in building test cases and identifying potential issues will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of our applications as we modernize the Specialty insurance industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products not only meet but exceed customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and Execute Test Cases: Create comprehensive test cases for policy forms to ensure they function as expected across various scenarios.
• Defect Identification and Documentation: Identify and document defects in staging environments, providing clear and actionable feedback to development teams.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and improve testing processes.
• Critical Thinking: Think critically to create comprehensive testing scenarios that cover various use cases, ensuring thorough validation of all functionalities.
• Participate in Team Meetings: Engage in team meetings to discuss testing strategies, share insights on quality improvements, and contribute to the overall enhancement of the QA process.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest QA methodologies and best practices, and suggest improvements to existing processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in manual testing, particularly with web applications and forms.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify issues effectively.
• Documentation Skills: Ability to write clear and concise test cases and documentation that can be easily understood by technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective collaboration with team members.
• QA Methodologies: Familiarity with QA methodologies and best practices, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English at B2+ or C1 level is required.

Nice to Have

• Industry Experience: Experience in the insurance industry or related fields is a plus.
• Automated Testing Knowledge: Knowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) is beneficial but not required.
• Startup Environment Experience: Prior experience working in a startup environment where adaptability and flexibility are key.
