Job description

RapidDeploy is seeking a highly motivated, energetic account executive to help fuel our continued growth in mission critical public safety software services. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer and supporting Regional Sales Managers, the Account Executive will be a trusted partner to prospective agencies and an advocate for RapidDeploy’ s products and mission…” Saving lives by reducing response times”.  This role is specifically focused on developing and closing new sales opportunities and educating smaller agencies on the value and benefit of RapidDeploy SaaS public safety solutions.  This is a virtual position with up to 30 % travel expectations.
 
Education: Preferred bachelor’s degree in a related field

Required Background/Experience:
 
·        2-3 years of experience in sales and meeting sales targets
·        Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
·        Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team
·        Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a passion for sales
·        Public safety / 9-11 / state & local government experience required
·        Solid understanding technology:  cloud computing, enterprise software, and data analytics
 
Essential Functions
 
·        Qualify inbound and outbound leads, including detailed needs analysis, product overview, and potential solution fit.
·        Conduct outbound calling against targeted accounts to generate new business opportunities
·        Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
·        Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services
·        Own the end-to-end sales cycle on specific opportunities in region, including positioning and demonstrating products, quoting, and managing procurement activities.
·        Develop effective sales strategies and meet or exceed sales targets and goals
·        Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up actions in the CRM system.
·        Clearly communicate RapidDeploy’s value and mission
·        Consistent utilization of RapidDeploy’s sales process and sales enablement tools
·        Be a challenger – understand your target market, issues, decision makers, funding sources and proactively bring solutions that will provide a successful path for sales execution
·        Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities.
