JOB TITLE: Accounting Clerk

OFFER RATE: PHP 208.33 per hour

Work Type: Part-time, Remote/WFH

Department: Finance

Reports to: Director of Finance

Working Hours: TBD (usually US hrs | Night shift)
Start Date: TBD


Basic Functions

This position will assist with the management of all financial transactions across all corporate accounts. The Accounting Clerk will properly record all transactions into accounting software, assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable obligations, assist in the corporate budgetary process, assist with the maintenance of existing and creation of new accounting policies and procedures, and work closely with the Director of Finance to make accounting information accessible to directors and executives. Further duties will be assigned by the Director of Finance as workload dictates.

The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that measures the Accountant’s efficacy and successfulness is the accuracy of recording financial transactions. An effective and successful Accountant will process data accurately and within the required time frame to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to evaluate accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

  • Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

  • Prepare financial statements and reports for the Director of Finance.

  • Establish and maintain a chart of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.

  • Develop, implement, and modify document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Education/Training

Degree: HS Diploma required with significant progress toward a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business or related field completed; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

3+ years of related field experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge; skills and abilities.
