What you will do:
The Senior Service Sales Learning Specialist will be a critical enabler and change influencer in our mission, with a strong focus on driving sales excellence within the service business.
Your challenge will be to influence, develop and deliver service sales learning curriculum to transform Johnson Controls from an industrial company to a digital industrial company. As the commercial and service sales expert, you will develop service sales learning deliverables by partnering with service solution leaders, global lifecycle solution experts, and field service sales experts. You will leverage your field experience in sales, service lifecycle knowledge and experience to connect the service sales solutions for your learners. The Sr. Service Sales Learning Specialist will work closely with key stakeholders to stay updated with evolving service solutions, design, develop, and deliver training. You will also evaluate training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement for upskilling our frontline sellers. Requirements include sales skills, consultative skills, strong learner-focused mindset, business acumen, a willingness to act amid ambiguity, strong project management skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. How you will do it:
Expertise and business partner
Collaborate with service solution leaders, global lifecycle solution leaders, field sales leaders, and service sales enablement leaders to stay updated with evolving service solutions
Act as an internal consultant to combine multiple perspectives into holistic solutions that maximize impact to the business.
Use strong project management skills in developing outcomes that positively impact the business.
Develop and monitor service sales training programs for frontline service sellers across all domains of North America’s field business.
Building systems, BAS or digital software solutions for buildings – service, or sales field experience is strongly preferred.
Demonstrate impact to service sales business results through learning KPI’s. Report results as part of our ability to show financial impact to the business.
Design, development and facilitation
Lead the knowledge and skill inputs to design service sales programs classes and curriculum
Lead the skill and knowledge gap analysis for service sales roles across all domains
Consult, propose and develop service sales learning solutions to meet the knowledge, and skills gaps across different service sales roles
Be effective in prioritization to focus on the most impactful areas, and learning interventions for highest impact
Lead the update and continuous development of service sales learning curriculum and learning journeys
Collaborate and partner with sales facilitators who lead new hire, and tenured seller program for connecting the programs.
Deliver service sales sessions as required to sellers, and / or bring in SMEs for your sessions.
Evaluate existing programs for effectiveness, and redesign solutions when necessary; leverage a variety of measurement and evaluation techniques to obtain and use data to drive your learning curriculum impact
Hold learner interviews, focus groups, needs analyses, and develop personas to identify and address learning needs.
Collaborate with and support a strong global team environment.
Leverage innovative learning technologies and platforms to deploy learning, including the Johnson Controls Learning Hub (LXP), LMS (Learning Management System), and uLearn (video streaming service).
Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in learning design, training, and technical field operations acting as a thought leader and finding ways to iterate on your solutions.
Work very closely with team members who will develop your designs. Need your ability to flex on time, as we have a global team.
What we look for:
Technical- JCI’s portfolio of products is complex, so we need someone who is quick to grasp how building environments are created and business lines organized. Don’t worry, we’ll help you with that! Can quickly learn different platforms like Learning Experience Platform, and various learning management systems.
Educated – Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in the service/sales field.

Field Experience – 6+ years of sales or service experience. Implementation of Buildings Systems and software solutions preferred.
