Role Summary/Purpose
As a key member of the B2B Digital Products Team, this leadership role is responsible for helping drive and achieve Synchrony’s business objectives focusing on the Business Center, Provider Center and Transact platforms. The B2B Train Leader will be responsible for leading a set of Agile teams that deliver new features, capabilities and enhanced merchant, provider and consumer experiences. The preferred candidate will demonstrate SYF’s ability to understand and meet our client’s and customer’s needs through technology-driven and innovative solutions in partnership with Product Management, Go To Market, TechOps, Credit and other cross functional teams. This leader will need to be a strategist, executor, and strong communicator to help identify opportunities for platform and product expansion that enables profitable growth.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Guide, mentor, and develop a team highly motivated and skilled Product Owners
Partner with the Product Management team to develop and implement new digital platform features and capabilities inclusive of strategic initiatives, client requests, relevant marketplace trends, and competitive assessments
Consult with cross functional groups, clients, and outside partners to ensure alignment and resource optimization to deliver on prioritized initiatives and platform roadmaps
Manage and prioritize the flow of work, including coordination of multiple teams using the Scaled Agile framework
Co-lead Agile Program Increment (PI) planning sessions to define delivery commitments, evaluate dependencies and align on release schedules
Measure the train’s performance against OKRs/KPIs, and agile metrics and communicate it’s status to stakeholders
Work closely with the RTE and dependent teams/trains to ensure clear priorities and impact to backlog items
Facilitate process and documentation of features aligned to Large Solution epics / capabilities
Coordinate with Analytics to develop, monitor and report on key metrics/KPIs to assess the performance of the product and features and determine necessary enhancements
Participate in regular updates and governance reviews (i.e. NPI reviews, stakeholder Updates, etc.) and ensure the train’s adherence to process rigor, CTCs and other key standards (i.e. ADA, authentication)
Lead, facilitate, and take responsibility for PO Syncs to ensure all POs are aligned on all product features across teams
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 9+ years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries
5+ years marketing/project management experience that includes:
3+ years managing people and teams
A proven track record of launching new products or applications with demonstrated business impact
Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Experience with Agile Scrum or the SAFe framework
Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills
Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years in financial services or other highly regulated industry
3+ years in Digital and/or Product Management experience
Strong background working with clients, reporting on performance and delivering results
Current on financial services, payments industry trends, competitors, emerging technologies and companies
Strong technical knowledge
Agile/SAFe Product Owner or Product Manager Certification
Grade/Level: 13
The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
