Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based either Sydney or Melbourne CBD.

Claims Examiner

In this role you will be handling a portfolio of notifications and non-complex claims under cyber policies. You will also provide support in account management and complex claims management.

We will count on you to:

  • Manage a portfolio of notifications and non-complex claims by providing a high level of service to clients and brokers; and liaising with relevant insurers and providers.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc reports; present quarterly and/or annual reviews.
  • Participate in the peer review/ audit process.
  • Participate in projects related to continuous improvement and efficiency of the Claims Team.
  • Support new and expanded business endeavours through provision of claims review data for tenders, renewals and proposals, and participate in client/prospect meetings.
  • Conduct marketing and client/broker education presentations.
  • Provide support in complex matters as required, including but not limited to, research, analysing facts and/or policy wordings.

What you need to have: 

  • High level of accuracy/attention to detail
  • Ideally someone with bachelor’s degree in law
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills and proven track record to provide a high level of customer service
  • Flexible and team player – develops close partnerships with onshore and offshore colleagues
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to maintain clear lines of communication with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
