How will you fit in the big picture?

Reporting the Marketing Manager, Portfolio and Merchandising Strategy, this position is responsible for leading Hershey Canada’s shopper marketing initiatives. Responsibilities include development, execution and measurement of shopper marketing programs, ownership of a multi-million dollar marketing budget and building and maintaining strong relationships with our key shopper marketing agency and vendor partners as well as our national partners like the NBA.

What will you do?

As a critical member of the Hershey Marketing team, the Associate Manager, Shopper Marketing will be responsible for:

  • Development, execution and measurement of shopper marketing programs that activate the entire shopper journey to drive awareness, trial, and conversion across Hershey’s portfolio
  • Collaborating with internal teams, external agencies, and customer stakeholders to bring shopper programs to life with diligent measurement against defined KPI’s and ROI
  • Management and control of shopper marketing budget
  • Collaborating with business partners (Brand, Sales, Insights and Agencies) to identify winning share opportunities, pitch business cases and bring solutions to market
  • Day-to-day management of shopper marketing agency partners, vendors and national partner relationships

 

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Business degree or equivalent experience with a marketing or related major preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive shopper marketing/consumer promotions and/or brand marketing in a Consumer-Packaged Goods or related capacity
  • Proficient at working collaboratively with agency partners and building creative briefs
  • Experienced in managing large budgets with strong forecasting accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent communications and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong negotiating, consensus and relationship building skills
  • Strong leadership skills with people management experience an asset
  • Working knowledge of AC Nielsen analytics
  • Experience in a fast-paced business environment and ability to work independently are essential
  • Technical Skills (Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, Excel & Power Point)
