Job Summary

As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for overseeing seven agile teams within our network engineering environment. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating agile practices, removing impediments, and ensuring that the teams are productive and aligned with the company's objectives. Your expertise in Kanban, Agile methodologies, and Jira will be crucial in driving continuous improvement and delivering high-quality results. You will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, enabling our teams to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Agile Facilitation: Guide and coach the teams in Agile practices and principles, ensuring adherence to Scrum and Kanban methodologies. Facilitate discussions and decision-making processes to enhance team dynamics.
  • Team Support: Support seven agile teams by removing impediments, facilitating meetings, and fostering a collaborative environment. Act as a servant leader to empower team members and promote self-organization.
  • Sprint Planning & Execution: Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure that all team members are engaged and that the meetings are productive.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging teams to reflect on their processes and outcomes. Implement feedback loops to enhance team performance.
  • Jira Management: Utilize Jira to track progress, manage tasks, and report on team performance. Ensure that the tool is used effectively to visualize work and maintain transparency.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and other Scrum Masters to ensure alignment and transparency across teams. Communicate effectively to manage expectations and deliver updates.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team progress and identify areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
  • Training & Development: Provide training and mentorship to team members on Agile practices and tools. Foster an environment of learning and growth within the teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role, with a focus on network engineering or IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban, with proficiency in Jira.
  • Proven ability to lead and coach multiple teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on facilitating team success.
  • Experience with networking technologies (Cisco preferred).
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and facilitate discussions among diverse team members.
  • Experience in scaling Agile practices across multiple teams is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
