What We’re Looking For:
An experienced Medical Economics Analyst will work with the Director of Medical Economics to perform analysis on care utilization trends, develop insights into key drivers, and communicate findings to various stakeholders. Using your understanding of capitation and medical economics, you will inform strategic initiatives and help drive financial decision-making around rates, capitation, and Medicaid loss ratio.
On a typical day, you might:
- Develop and implement payer analytics and economics strategies
- Analyze behavioral health, physical health, and pharmacy data
- Utilize industry trends and medical economics concepts
- Identify and data risks and possible solutions
- Prepare presentations and other collateral materials
- Participate in process improvement projects.
- Provide technical training and support to team members.

Qualifications:
Education: High School, GED, Associate
Experience:
High School diploma and minimum of three (3) years’ experience in in healthcare analytics or medical economics. And applicable certification(s).
OR
Associate degree and a minimum one (1) year experience in in healthcare analytics or medical economics. And applicable certification(s).
OR
Equivalent combination of education/experience.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Data Analytics preferred.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years’ experience in Managed Care industry
2+ years technical skills in SQL and Excel required, developing, and writing code.
License/Certification:
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must reside in North Carolina in order to be considered for remote status
