As the Field Application Specialist (Fluid Management Technologies), you will be responsible for offering overall product expertise, application knowledge and technical support along each step of the customer process. The main mission is to ensure successful application, implementation, qualification, and use of our products, by supporting sales for product positioning and demonstration whilst supporting customers for application development work, initial startup, training and trouble shooting.
What you will accomplish together with us:
- You will support the Sales organization as the customer’s first point of technical contact on existing Fluid Management Technologies (FMT) products through product presentations and trainings, demonstrations, trials and application studies, and on new products in close collaboration with Product Managers and Specialists through beta sites testing and product demonstrations.
- You will provide field-based support in the Greater Boston Region, from a home-based office. You will also be responsible for the New England area with customers in NY, NH, CT, and other.
- One of your tasks will be to support Sales in the customer process, URS analysis & technical response, and generate application trials to help position products in line with the application requirements.
- You will provide technical qualification of sales opportunities.
- You will be responsible for facilitating Technical Closure of the sale.
- Your duties include assisting customers for first product run, initial start-up and ensure training of the customer.
- You will support regional marketing initiatives (trade shows, product launches, etc.)
- You will support Quality Department in the quality complaint process by troubleshooting and analyzing customers processes for better investigation and resolution.
- Your duties will include supporting the development of strong relationships with accounts within the assigned sales territory.
- On an as needed basis, you will report on competitors' products, customer feedback, and market intel observed in the field.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 25%
- Periodically travel out of the county for trainings and meetings.
What will convince us:
- You have completed a Bachelors degree in Life Science Biology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience, R&D/PD/Scale-up/GMP preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of Single Use product and application expertise.
- This position requires daily travel within the assigned territory, with up to 25% overnight travel.
- You possess product and application expertise for the relevant portfolio.
- Ability to lift equipment that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
- You have a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
