JOB TITLE: Software Engineer I
JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION
Internalize the Dark Matter Technologies vision, manifesto, and rapidly deliver high quality software. Develops core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Identifies clients' purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Interacts with engineering groups to assist in the design changes to equipment and/or software. Trains and communicates with clients on systems application.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand the needs of users and clients to establish software specifications
- Design software architectures and creating technical specifications
- Writing code, testing, and debugging software
- Update and maintain existing software
- Work with other departments and development teams
- Update and maintain documentation
- Continuously update technical knowledge and skills
- Troubleshoot and fix software issues
EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience that is required for the specific job level.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge and experience with Agile software methodology as well as end-to-end systems development life cycle
- Good verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization
- Good analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills
- Experience with C++, Visual Studio, and Git
- Some experience with C#
- Experience with multi-threading, sockets, Angular, Node.js, and AWS is a plus
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills
- Positive outlook and strong work ethic

The estimated base salary range for this role in the United States is $68,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year. For compliance with local legislation, and to provide greater transparency to applicants, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired hiring location or whether the position is remote. The posted range is an estimate and reflects many factors which are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, based upon geographic location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant factors.

The Company provides a minimum of 10 days of vacation for new employees , sick time based on state requirements, 8 Company-paid holidays and 2 personal holidays per year.
