The External Ventures & Partnerships team is part of Nokia’s Strategic Partnerships group under the centralized Strategy and Technology organization. The team is responsible for contributing to Nokia’s innovation framework by maximizing the strategic and commercial impact of Nokia's external ventures and investment activities. We work in a collaborative model to create non-linear value growth for Nokia by building an ecosystem of venture and industry partners to stand up robust new venture companies that adhere to Nokia’s mid to long-term strategy.
The Venture Operations Program Director plays a crucial role in partnering with venture syndicate partners and cross-functional teams to facilitate the formation and spinout of new venture companies. This position is responsible for program-managing venture transactions, ensuring adherence to processes, and driving timely decision-making. A key aspect of the role is aligning stakeholders' interests and resolving any gaps to maintain clarity and operational efficiency. Additionally, the Director oversees the team’s daily activities and coordinates efforts across its various members.

We are looking for a VC Operations Director who will:
- Program-manage venture partner engagements
- Ensure adherence to corporate spinout guidelines, compliance, and processes
- Collaborate with the venture team and finance to report on portfolio assets
- Provide weekly venture updates to the organization
- Represent Nokia’s strategic interests in venture partnership negotiations
- Work with the Finance and Commercial management community to implement new venture business models

- Experience in setting up start-ups or early-stage ventures

- Good understanding of business legal formations

- Broad industry technology experience
