Medtronic ENT Principal Field Education Specialist will assist in the execution of training plans for field-based sales professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the education and preparation of our teams, including but not limited to Enterprise Account Sales Managers, Market Development Representatives and Clinical Specialists. You will work in coordination with the Program Sales Training Manager and District Manager to effectively coordinate and deliver field training sessions and field travel. We are looking for an ambitious, organized and highly efficient expert with medical devices and/or successful sales and training experience. Familiarity with Ear, Nose, & Throat medical sales is also helpful for candidates considered for this position.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Distributes training schedules, learning tracks, playbooks, and creates reports on outcomes of all field training curriculum, and maintains training records
- Ensure New Hire understanding of all key areas of product information, internal processes; including but not limited to Allego, Salesforce, and Power BI.
- Assist Product Managers, Sales Training, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Contracts and Pricing in implementing training programs for field team
- Assess New Hire retention of training sessions and material
- Field Travel with new hire and provide feedback to new hire and direct manager, make recommendations on areas of growth opportunities and resolve gaps.
- Observe New Hire on a sales call demonstrating instruments, presentation skills
- Keeps up to date on all product information, marketing strategies/initiatives to act as a key resource for New Hires.
- Must provide product demo excellence capabilities on all key products to New Hires
- Plan, schedule and conduct weekly/biweekly/monthly New Hire calls during first year of New Hire employment to ensure reinforcement of all key training topics, answering questions and directing New Hires to appropriate resources.
- Work with the Sales Training Program Manager to identify unmet training needs and help create curriculum to facilitate the necessary training
- High level of communication with Training Director, Regional Sales Director, District Sales Manager, and Field Coaches to ensure New Hire training and development needs are met
- Ability to travel up to 50%
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or 5 years of relevant experience with an Advanced degree
Nice to Have
- Experience in Field sales
- Training or coaching experience preferred
- Experience with or willingness to train on Allego LMS
- Delivering effective virtual and in-person training experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to utilize internal resources, effectively plan and work within their regional territory
- Ability to prepare effective written evaluations and recommendations for improvement
- Ability to use creativity to maintain excitement and engagement around training classes/Teams meetings
- Ability to administer and organize a learning curriculum
- Expertise in project management, organizational skillset, and ability to meet timelines.
- Ability to analyze and communicate clinical study designs and results. Proficiency in clinical literature search desired.
- Background in ENT Navigation / Head and Neck
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$109,600.00 - $164,400.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
