Job description

Our client is seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Desktop/Tech Support professional to join their dynamic team. This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site visits to our client's location in Columbus, Ohio.

As a Desktop/Tech Support team member, you will provide hands-on user support, troubleshooting hardware and software problems for desktop and laptop computers. You will also be responsible for configuring workstations for new users, upgrading existing equipment and software, and setting up and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot LAN, server, and connectivity issues
  • Utilize ticketing system for issue tracking and resolution
  • Re-image computers, perform data migrations and restorations
  • Conduct remote problem-solving as needed


The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a similar role and a working knowledge of hardware components, hardware configurations, and strong software experience. While an advanced degree or certification is not required, it is considered a plus.

Technical Must-Haves:

  • Proficiency in Service Now
  • Experience with network connectivity, hardware replacements, network changes, and cloud-based products
  • Familiarity with different types of hardware


Our client's team values a personable and eager-to-learn attitude. You will be the only resource in Ohio, reporting to a manager and working with a team of six techs located in several states. The interview process will consist of two rounds of virtual team interviews.
