Job description

Work You’ll Do:

  • Manage and maintain the organization's data warehouse to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security in compliance with SOX regulations.

  • Develop and implement database management strategies and processes that align with the company's financial objectives.

  • Conduct regular audits of the data warehouse to identify any potential compliance issues.

  • Work closely with IT and data governance teams to ensure data quality and integrity.

  • Maintain data classification, data lineage and metadata management within our Data Catalog.

  • Maintain access control within the database.

  • Implement monitoring and alerting on critical events.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to database management processes and compliance activities.

  • Provide training and guidance to other team members on SOX compliance as it relates to database management.

  • Stay updated on changes in SOX regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.

  • Manage the change control process for pipeline, database or report changes within the finance data lake.

  • Manage backup and recovery processes.

  • Monitor Monthly user metrics within our environment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Proven 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in a finance-focused role.

  • Strong understanding of SQL.

  • Strong understanding of monitoring and troubleshooting data runs in Azure Databricks

  • Strong understanding of SOX compliance and its implications for database management.

  • Certifications within SOX compliance is a nice to have, but not required.

  • Experience with data warehousing and database management tools.

  • Experience with Power BI or desire to learn Power BI is a plus

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex database concepts to non-technical team members.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
