Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy sophisticated machine learning and statistical models for effective fraud detection.
  • Examine extensive datasets to discern patterns indicative of fraudulent behaviors.
  • Create real-time fraud detection systems to identify and flag suspicious transactions.
  • Persistently assess and refine fraud detection models to drive enhanced performance.
  • Collaborate with compliance and security teams to facilitate informed, data-driven decision-making.
  • Generate key performance indicators for fraud prevention and communicate findings to senior leadership.
  • Design and optimize algorithms focused on pattern recognition and risk evaluation.
  • Work alongside business and risk teams to fine-tune critical metrics and evaluate overall risk exposures.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of fraud cases to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Present analytical outcomes and solutions to internal stakeholders effectively.
  • Lead analytical initiatives from conception through execution.
  • Remain informed about evolving trends, regulations, and challenges within the fraud and risk landscape.
  • Contribute strategic insights and recommendations to bolster overarching fraud protection strategies.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Python, SQL, and R.
  • Familiarity with Docker containers is advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities paired with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
