Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer / Business Intelligence Specialist to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with our Business Intelligence and IT departments to craft data-driven solutions that support strategic decision-making within the organization. If you possess a solid foundation in SQL, data management, and reporting tools, and thrive on solving intricate problems through teamwork, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the technical design and implementation of business applications, ensuring alignment with our technology landscape.
  • Establish and maintain data governance practices while adhering to change management and data security standards.
  • Develop efficient SQL queries, create stored procedures, and utilize SQL Server to fulfill data requests and produce accurate reports that meet operational needs.
  • Work alongside IT colleagues to uphold high-quality deliverables and consistent monitoring practices. Communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Create and update comprehensive technical documentation to support clarity in processes and improve application usability.
  • Design and manage insightful dashboards and reports with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS, simplifying complex data into actionable insights.
  • Engage with end-users to comprehend their requirements, transforming data outputs into user-friendly information and enhancing data utilization across teams.
  • Apply version control methodologies, including Git or DevOps, to ensure robust data practices and maintain consistency in deliverables.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in T-SQL (Transact-SQL) and hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Proven track record in developing reports using Power BI and Microsoft SSRS.
  • Familiarity with additional reporting tools such as Tableau is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently while upholding high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications
