Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Manager to join our team, leading our database and Business Intelligence (BI) Developers to ensure the effective management and optimization of our databases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of database developers and Business Intelligence (BI) professionals.
  • Develop and implement a robust data management strategy that ensures effective data collection, storage, and utilization across the organization.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of a central database (e.g., Customer Data Platform) that effectively integrates data from diverse sources.
  • Manage the integration of various data systems to facilitate seamless data flow across all business functions.
  • Implement ETL processes to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Create and sustain business intelligence tools and dashboards, delivering actionable insights through advanced analytics and reporting.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Ensure high availability and uptime of data systems through effective reliability management practices.
  • Collaborate with the CTO, business leaders, IT professionals, and other key stakeholders to address data needs and deliver tailored solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in data management technologies, evaluating and recommending new tools to enhance data capabilities.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in data management, particularly in developing and maintaining central databases such as Customer Data Platforms (CDP).
  • Proven expertise in marketing automation tools and strategies.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and other relevant database management systems.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in data management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing central databases or CDPs (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Zoho, etc.).

Compensation And Benefits

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
  • Remote work with quarterly travel to our Dallas, TX Corporate Office (approximately 4 trips annually, at employee's expense).
  • Ideally located within driving distance to the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area.
  • Competitive compensation ranging from \(170,000 to \)180,000 annually.
  • Fewer than 10 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
