Remote Senior Software Engineer - Linux

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Linux to contribute to our advanced Open XDR (eXtended Detection and Response) platform, recognized for its innovative integration of machine learning and security technologies by Gartner.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop resilient, low-footprint sensor software for various Linux environments including Ubuntu, CentOS, and Red Hat Enterprise, both on cloud and on-premises.
• Design and execute high-quality, high-performance code within a multi-threaded/multi-process framework to incorporate customer data into our XDR platform.
• Continuously optimize existing sensor software performance to enhance resource efficiency.
• Create scripts for deploying the Linux sensor in customer settings.
• Independently analyze and address sensor-related customer issues.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Shell scripting, Go, Ruby, or Java.
• Familiarity with network protocols including VXLAN, ICMP, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and HTTP.
• Experience in performance tuning on Linux systems.
• Knowledge of Network IDS, IPS, and Network Security Monitoring engines (e.g., Suricata) is advantageous.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience, or a Master's/PhD with 2+ years in cybersecurity-related fields.
• A collaborative, proactive team player with a positive mindset.
• Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability, able to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
