Your day at NTT DATA

The Global Data Center (GDC) Transformation Principal Specialist is a key professional level role reporting directly to the VP, GDC Transformation. This individual will operate at the cross-roads where business process, portfolio management, and program management intersect.

This role will help to identify the opportunities for improvement, shape the environment, and inject tools and technology enhancements into a broad and diverse global Data Center organization to enable enterprise, cross-functional, and function-specific efforts. This includes strategic and transformation efforts throughout our global team; America, Asia-Pacific, Europe/Middle East and Africa, and India regions. This Transformation Principal Specialist brings an outcome-focused perspective that sees technology and automation as an enabler to structured and refined process, data, and overall management.

The GDC Transformation Principal Specialist also serves as the liaison and product owner to our global systems team in their technology initiatives. This role will span across portfolio, program, and standard business functions to create a foundation of scalability, efficiency, and tech enablement. The position will routinely interact with the Global Chief of Staff, global and regional function heads, and the global systems team.

What you'll be doing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with the Global Transformation team with a focus on enabling, modernizing, and creating a foundation of scalability for our future organization structure, roles and responsibilities, governance and process flows.
  • Acts in the capacity of a technology product manager in our interaction
  • Create a roadmap of Transformation, Portfolio, and Program technologies accounting for Waterfall and Agile needs with an understanding of the existing technology landscape.
  • Works closely with the VP of Transformation to engage GDC leadership, functional leaders, cross-functional stakeholders through executive communications and presentations.
  • Leads the rhythm of business for the Transformation Management Office - facilitates the “Transformation Lifecycle” of Envisioning, Discovery, Definition, Implementation and Measurement for transformational initiatives. Captures and disseminates key points and follow ups from strategy discussions, functional reviews, and maintains rolling action items while balancing short-term improvement and long-term value. 
  • Drives execution of key short- and mid-term transformation initiatives on behalf of the VP of Transformation including, but not limited to: initial discovery, GDC functional development, cross-functional processes, business pivots and change initiatives, and communications planning.
  • Architects organization-wide GDC objectives, key results, and performance metrics to measure strategic alignment and the effectiveness of transformation efforts in the short-, mid- and long-term.
  • Provides data-driven strategic advice, research and thought leadership on operationalizing value drivers for the GDC transformation including strategic objectives and goals, organic and third-party capital managed as a portfolio client experience and operational efficiencies gained.
  • Responds to ad-hoc, time-sensitive requests for deliverables, often for senior executive and shareholder audiences at NTT DATA Inc., NTT Holdings and other NTT organizations.
  • Responsible for setting the tone, challenging current wisdom on value creation, and sustaining transformation efforts over the longer-term.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving, strategic mindset, and critical thinking skills, preferably from a top consulting firm or strategy organization.
  • Excellent executive presence and team builder who drives accountability and inspires calls to action; remains resilient and positive when facing challenges.
  • Strong Project and Program Portfolio Management skills.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and tools to synthesize strategic
  • Multi-cultural and multi-lingual background valued but not mandatory

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • MBA, Masters degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in architecting, refining, and structuring transformations, portfolios, and/or large complex programs through the use of industry standard technologies and enabling through BI and analytics.
  • 3+ years of working with tier-one data centers or hyperscale providers

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.
  • Able to hear and speak into a telephone.
  • Close visual work on a computer terminal.
  • Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.
  • Perform work during US and Global business hours and time zones.

WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness and ability to travel approx. 25% domestically and internationally.
  • Remote work approved when not traveling.
  • Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $ 150,500.00 - $ 215,000.00. For roles residing in the US, we share pay and benefit levels to support pay transparency requirements.  For other countries, we are more than happy to share our competitive pay and benefit levels during the interview process.

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
